Also, I completely overestimated how much time it would take me to color Flame Princess, so we took suggestions from the chat. I think the doodle by the My Little Pony explains it all.
Also, also, it seems I can spell “apparently” perfectly now, but not while I was scribbling, high on martinis. Sorry guys. I promise I am not completely stupid.
In reference to the movie we’re watching right now.
First person to prove to me via posting on the Skiffy Facebook that people still come here will get something nice from me.

(Kelsey and Joe can’t win this.)
This is a thing. We’re doing it. The cash prize listed on here is only the minimum - if we get more people, more people get more money. Badda bing badda boom. Also, a Street Fighter x Tekken Arcade Stick raffle.

- MyOrgs - If you haven’t already, please join the MyOrgs page here: http://vcu.collegiatelink.net/organization/skiffy
- Artist’s Guild - (Visual) Artists wanted! There will be art contests starting up soon. The winner will have their art displayed as the background of the website page for a month.
- Propagandarmy - Some of the art created by the Artist’s Guild will be put on posters and spread across campus in the hopes of expanding Skiffy.
- Dues - Dues will be $5. This will get you a spiffy card that allows you to vote and nominate the movies we watch at the meetings. (This will not go into effect until March). Also, for $15, you will get the card and also a Skiffy Shirt (in the making).
- Book Club - Be sure to talk to Morgan Britt if you’re interested in joining. Meetings are usually at 7 PM on nights we have Skiffy meetings. Contact Morgan for more information.
- Games Day - Due to being unable to reserve the same room from last semester, Games Days will be either in a different classroom or at one of the various game stores around Richmond. Be sure to check the Google calendar for dates and locations. Contact Zach Thomson for more information.
UPCOMING (POSSIBLE) EVENTS
- Webcomic Evenings - Last semester, we had Brian Clevinger grace us with his presence for a night. This semester, we may have the webcomic creators for “Erfworld” and “Dueling Analogs” visit us for a Q&A.
- Anime Club Crossover - Skiffy and the Anime Club will converge for a night of anime movies! Date is still up in the air.
- W&M Nerf Gun Fights - These take place roughly every Saturday at W&M with the W&M Skiffy club. Shoot nerds with nerf guns! These run from 9 PM to 2 AM, followed by a trip to Ihop. Arrival back to Richmond is roughly 5 AM. Contact President Adam Seats for more information.
- 90s Cartoon Night - This includes cartoons shown from 1990 to 1999. Be sure to keep an eye open for the thread to nominate cartoons (if a cartoon has already been nominated, please don’t nominate it again). This will probably lead to a 2000s Cartoon Night in the future.
- Skiffy Indoctrination Nights - It is Skiffy tradition to watch movies that are both “so bad it’s good” and “so bad it’s bad.” On these nights, we will be watching a plethora of these kinds of movies that have gone down as Skiffy classics.

I think that’s most of it. Screening was “Black Sheep.” Many “baaaa-d” puns were had. Be sure to keep checking the Google Calendar and the Skiffy Website (now both found conveniently in the group description box on our Facebook page) to stay up-to-date on the goings on around campus.
You probably don’t need this reminder, but Skiffy meeting tonight, January 27th, at 9 p.m. in the forum room.
Hey, everyone who came to see us at the SOVO fair!
I hear you’re interested in joining Skiffy. Lucky for you, Skiffy is awesome as hell.
It was good meeting you all at the SOVO fair, and I really do hope you come to our first meeting on January 27th.
Here’s a link to our facebook page, if you guys want to join. We post nerdy things and talk about stuff, and it’s probably the fastest way to get answers if you have any questions.
But really, come to the meeting next Friday! It’s at 9 pm in the forum room at the Student Commons (around the corner from the student art space).
Hope to see you soon!
-Kelsey (The Art Slave)
